Book Review: The Prophecy by Jeffrey Poole

In the first installment of the Bakkian Chronicles, Steve Miller and his wife inherits one hundred fifty acres of land and a vast mansion after Steve’s grandparents die. They discover a unique set of doors on the top floor with a door frame covered with carvings of a castle and rolling hills. Steve finds a crystal key and accidentally activates a portal to the kingdom of Lentari, where there are griffins, dragons, monstrous bugs, and all sorts of weird creatures. When they meet the king and queen, they find out that their purpose was to protect the crown prince Mikal from an evil sorceress. They became babysitters for the prince and go on a quest to find a way home. This 1045-page book is jammed packed with action and magic that is perfect for people who love a good long adventure tale. I will rate this book 5 stars out of 5 because the plot was very intriguing and I had a good time reading it.
