Book Review: Hemlock and the Wizard Tower by B. Throwsnail

In the first book of The Maker’s Fire series, Hemlock is raised as a cut-purse when she discovers that she is a powerful fighter. Under the guidance of Safreon, a freedom fighter, Hemlock battles to keep peace in her city district. There is a Wizard Tower in the middle of the city that dictate and controls the use of magic in the city. Hemlock feels that the wizards are her enemies and one night she makes the decision to attack the tower alone. Hemlock is confident that she could defeat the wizards, but can she really do that and survive? This 942-page book is jammed packed with action and magic. I would rate this book 4.5 stars out of 5 because I thought that it was a good book and had an interesting plot.
