Book Review: Arantur by Rosemary Fryth

This first book of the Riothamus trilogy is about Arantur, who is a young man raised in the small town in central Anduria. He is apprenticed to Master Blacksmith Cody and later discovers that his destiny lies at Andur’s Keep. A stranger befriends Arantur and takes him on a self-discovering journey towards the mage island of Glaive and Andur’s Keep, an ancient fortress that stood at the time of the High Kings. Arantur discovers that he has magical abilities thought to be long-lost, ancient royal arcane sword, and friendships that will last a life-time. I would rate this 563-page book 5 stars out of 5 because this story was masterfully written and I enjoyed the tale very much. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
