Book Review: The High King by Rosemary Fryth

This second installment in the Riothamus trilogy is about Arantur, who is the newly crowned king. He becomes a Warleader and he must mobilize an army and lead it against the invading Thakur. He learns that his mage abilities have merged and he trains them with the help of his friend. Arantur is threatened to be overwhelmed by his Warriormage abilities after he goes berserk and nearly kills two of his friends. He vows not to fight until he learns about his power. He has the support of his friends as he battles out his inner turmoil. I would rate this 744-page book 4.5 stars out of 5 because I thought it was as good as the first book and I enjoyed the action and the conflicts the main character faced.
