Book Review: Rise of the Huntress by Joseph Delaney

This 436-page book continues after book 6. The Spook’s house had been looted and burned down by enemy soldiers. All the books in the Spook’s library, save one, were burned in a big bonfire. The boggart had left, and the witches that were trapped in the pits escaped. Thomas, Alice, and the Spook flee to the island of Mona across the ocean and faces an old enemy who has grown a lot stronger. Can the three of them vanquish the great evil that has grown? I would rate this book 4.5 stars out of 5 because it is full of action and heart-stopping moments throughout it.

Book Review: Rage of the Fallen by Joseph Delaney

This is the eighth book in the Last Apprentice series. I suggest you read the books that came before this book. This 396-page book is about Thomas Ward, a apprentice to the Spook. He is being hunted down by evil creatures, such as the goddess Morrigan. Thomas, the Spook, and Grimalkin teams up to defeat whatever hunts them, the Fiend included. Will they manage to bind the Fiend? I would rate this book 4.5 stars out of 5 because I liked the combination of action and horror together.

Book Review: Death’s Angels by William King

This first book of the Terrarch series is about the soldiers of the Seventh Infantry. They uncover an plot to waken an ancient evil God and they go on a quest to stop the evildoers from waking the God. Their quest takes them to the sinister city of the Spider God, and they face the deadly dangers that lie there. I would rate this 772-page book 4.5 stars out of 5 because it grabbed my attention and I didn’t even notice the time pass by. I can’t wait to read the next book. WARNING: CONTAINS SOME ADULT MATERIAL.
